This explorative project investigated the experiences of people of color in leadership positions in the Netherlands, focusing on the (semi-)public sector (see report Leiderschap in kleur) and the private sector (in progress). In addition, the role of boards and recruitment agencies in selecting and appointing leaders of color is investigated.
In this study we examine how the leadership styles and educational vision of the school leadership can contribute to a positive working climate for teachers and a positive learning climate for students in these schools.

Based on interview data collected in the Netherlands and Indonesia, this project aims to examine the memories of people with Dutch heritage who spent their childhoods in the former Dutch Indies. Social resilience is often presented as a panacea for problems from inequality to polarisation. But what is social resilience and how do you build a resilient society? Over five years, the research project will examine social interventions that seek to create social resilience in eight Dutch cities. Funded by an NWA grant awarded to Anouk de Koning and co-applicants Femke Kaulingfreks and Maartje van der Woude.
